Biography:
Hanamichi Sakuragi is the protagonist of the basketball-themed manga and anime series, Slam Dunk. He first appears in the manga's inaugural chapter and the anime's first episode.
Initially a delinquent with a long history of unrequited love, Sakuragi joins the Shohoku High School basketball team in an attempt to impress Haruko Akagi, a girl he has a crush on. Despite his lack of experience and initial clumsiness, Sakuragi possesses natural athleticism, exceptional rebounding ability, and a fiery determination.
